DT project for Not Just Cards Challenge Blog

Hiya peeps

Its time for a new challenge over at

As always the theme is Anything Goes

and I chose to make something for my eldest
sisters birthday instead of a normal birthday card...
I looked through an old CraftWorks Cards publication
& found loads of projects & some fabulous papers near the
back of the "magazine".  After a few different reads of
different areas I saw the hanging & thought that I can
do that!!
All the backings are made from card, ribbon & most of
the buttons are from Crafty Ribbons

Im sorry there is only 2 photos at the moment. I will add
more in a couple of days. I hope you like what I have made.

DT project for the new challenge at Crafting Musketeers

Hiya peeps
Its time for a new challenge over at
We are sponsored by the lovely
and out of 3 images that we were given (as a DT) I chose to use
the image "Gift Box" and printed it off in 2 dfferent sizes.
The larger one I coloured, in oranges & greens (both glittered).
The smaller image, inside the shutters is coloured in
pinks & gold glitter. The backing papers. pearl
decorational strings & lace are all from my own stash.
I then placed a verse & short sentiment on the rear of the box card.
This is also my first time of themed props in my photos. This idea actually came from my daughter who recommended to use the wooden gift boxes that I bought off Facebook a couple of years ago. I then dressed them up with flat backed pearls, pearl strings, bows & charms. All very lovely if I say so myself.

I am entering this in to the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge, #383, the theme is "Re-run" taken inspiration from Tracy & Susan - Birthday

An entry for an artists challenge

A card made with a digi stamp especially for the
I used a digi stamp called Picnic Penguin
and he was a real joy to colour using my alcoholic
marker pens. I also used some of my favourite ribbon

What the final result was a "Fun in the sun" sentiment
complete with a sun cut from bright yellow card, a card butterfly (from my own stash) and a picnic peguin. I cut the
meadow ribbon down slightly round the feet of the penguin
& bottom of the basket. I then just stuck some letters under
the ribbon to form the sentiment "Fun In The Sun!!"

DT make for Crafty Ribbons new challenge of Sweet Treats with ribbon

Hiya peeps

Its time for a new challenge over at

I chose to use a Paper Shelter image called
Gingerbread House and made a large tag out of it
which I will use for a large gift bag at Christmas.

The backing paper, used on both sides, was a free gift along with some toppers that came free with one of the craft magazines
I subscribe to. The freebie is not a recent one.

I used the
to finish off the tag

I hope you like the finished project, I would love to read any comment that you wish to leave. Dont forget to enter the challenge
with your make on the theme but please, dont forget the ribbon
after all we are a ribbon website & blog.
